|
The ability to do business is not only measured by economic results.
To us it is a process, indeed a project began many years ago in which men and women dedicated who have helped in making the company a center of excellence able to compete worldwide. This responsibility drives us every day to be a leader even drawing a vision of the future that focuses on people, the environment and the communities in which we operate. Because we are convinced that to create in the long term a real value, we must support the research for innovative solutions and environmentally friendly at the same time, to promote the social and cultural progress support a model of governance that makes sustainability a key development assets.
An ambitious challenge, promoted at the highest levels of the Group and shared by all of us, we are aware that the way we work today and live will determine the future of the next generations.
Compliance management Facing growing public concerns for the environment and health, will increase the pressures on the governments of manufacturing companies to adopt practices of "Eco-Design".
Eco-design means that companies need to take account of environmental aspects in the development activity, maintenance and disposal of the products. This is especially true for the automotive companies that must comply with the environmental directives ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle) in Europe and similar provisions in Asia and North America. Any company that intends to operate on an international scale must consider regulatory compliance as a matter of primary importance. Failure to comply with the requirements may result in delays in product launches, warnings, penalties, customer dissatisfaction and damage to the image. ED GROUP answered to the environmental regulations with relations and compliance analysis carried out in the advanced stages of the development cycle. This approach, however, determines the need to make changes to projects at an advanced stage, as compliance requirements are not accessible at all stages of the life cycle of the product.
To ED GROUP "Design for Compliance" is an integral part of the process of products development.
The development team verifies the information on the content of the materials since in the early stages of the life cycle of the product. Reports are generated to compare the compliance of equivalent materials, listed the recycled content and assessed the production plant better and worse. This information can be cross-referenced with the regulations of the various Countries, allowing the designers to make changes in the early stages rather than in advanced ones.
Suppliers of components for the automotive industry can be incorporated in the process of assessing the conformity of materials to ensure the appropriate certifications. In this way we provide critical information to the designers when they make decisions related to customers and / or the market inquiries. The final result is the supply of environmentally friendly products that meet the demands of the global market: a clear competitive advantage for forward-thinking companies. |
